Book Review ~ Origin by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Book Review - Origin by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Read : October 2013

Daemon will do anything to get Katy back.

After the successful but disastrous raid on Mount Weather, he’s facing the impossible. Katy is gone. Taken. Everything becomes about finding her. Taking out anyone who stands in his way? Done. Burning down the whole world to save her? Gladly. Exposing his alien race to the world? With pleasure.

All Katy can do is survive.

Surrounded by enemies, the only way she can come out of this is to adapt. After all, there are sides of Daedalus that don’t seem entirely crazy, but the group’s goals are frightening and the truths they speak even more disturbing. Who are the real bad guys? Daedalus? Mankind? Or the Luxen?

Together, they can face anything.

But the most dangerous foe has been there all along, and when the truths are exposed and the lies come crumbling down, which side will Daemon and Katy be standing on?

And will they even be together?

Wow. Amazing book. Not on my #1 favorites, though, I would give it a 5/5 notes rating. Jennifer's writing style is amazing, she puts in every little detail and no matter how sad, or happy the scene/moment is, she manages to make it seem so real. It feels like I'm living in this book, and that I'm Katy. However, there were some minor issues, I'm not sure if that's how I should describe it but those issues were errors that I totally disliked in this book, although I'm not sure if its necessary or not, it just annoys me to read it.

NonSpoiler Book(NOT SERIES.BOOK.so,if you don't understand, I mean, this will be spoiler for the previous three books, but not for this book) Review :

So, yea. mostly everything is said in the paragraph above. Let me just summarize for you. This will include spoilers for the previous three books, so if you haven't read JLA's Lux series yet, you need to go read  them and come back for the rest of the book review!
So, this book, Origin, is mainly focused on how Daemon can't live without Katy and that he has to save her and, you know...like...the feelings you feel in JLA's writing about how Daemon really loves Katy....(I'm not even sure if that makes sense...)It has two POV's. One from Katy, the other from, obviously, Daemon. Normally, I don't really like Dual POV's, it's confusing and really...really...just...i don't know. It's just a ugly feeling I get when I read books like that. BUT, this was one of the books where I loved the POV's. It is one of the few books which I love with two point of views. Anyways, back to the summary. It was basically focused on Daemon saving Katy from Daedalus. If I remember correctly, the end of Opal has a cliffhanger, which Katy is captured by Daedalus and Daemon finally says the words "I love you Katy,Always will, Always have." That part was so sweet.

JUMP TO WHAT I THINK ABOUT THE CHARACTERS IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE SPOILED.THE SPOILER REVIEW IS AFTER THIS.

Warning - Spoiler!

Spoiler book review :

Weee. This was a joy ride for me. Although, like I said, didn't hit my favorites list, it still got a 5 star rating from meh. To be honest though, it was very awesome reading from two point of views. It's annoying though. Because its mostly based on daemon finding Katy and then rescuing her, and then they receive new identities and hide out. Then Mathew betrayed them. WAIT WHAT?! you know what I said. Mathew betrayed them. Omg. That was so unpredictable. Mathew? Seriously? The one who comforted Katy? Just wow Jennifer. It's sad. I forgot who, but either Daemon or Dawson who killed him without hesitation. That's just sad. I mean, I don't get it. Mathew turning one of his family in to protect the others? And Luc and Archer finding that out? That's just more awkward. Woah.... Later on, like a few chapters after that scene, Katy and Daemon get married? With their FAKE identities? What whattt?! That's just sad too. I hope, in the last book, they can receive a normal life. Omg. Will they even be able to get the high school degree?! Wow.... I feel so bad for Katy, I mean, I know Daemon was the one who dragged her into this freaky alien world, and he keeps blaming himself. I mean, that's part of the reason(He takes part of the blame), but Katy just stepped into their world - which makes her a strong protagonist.. Overall, awesome book. Love Jennifer's writing style - only flaw was the annoying part, which was Daemon thinking over and over again about Katy being trapped there. To be honest, I loved Katy's POV in the beginning of the book.

Reading Process :

Page 11
The Elder paled. " You're fighting you own kind, Daemon. That is unforgivable."
"I'm not asking for your forgiveness. I'm not asking for shit."
Hahahaha. You tell him Daemon. I was sort of getting sick of them. Lol.

Page 12
Ethan sucked in a sharp breath. "You're done here."
"So be it."
What?! Did he just get cast out, or did Ethan just end the conversation there?

Page 22
"The hell he is," my brother cut in, and when I said nothing, he strung together so many curse words I was actually impressed.
Hahahehehe. Yay Dawson! For cursing too much - making Daemon impressed.

Page 47
The hopelessness of it all hit me. Up until that moment, I don't know what I was really thinking. That I still had some say in what was going to happen around me and to me.
Noo, Katy. Don't lost hope! Daemon WILL come!

Page 61
Big Boy's nostrils flared. "Ain't feelin' real good."
Hahaha. Of course it doesn't feel good to have a gun pointed at your head.

Page 66
"Do I look like I give a flying rainbow if you believe me? You broke into Mount Weather, a government stronghold. It takes no stretch of imaginations to guess that something went wrong. I did what I promised."
Ahh, Daemon just got owned. Now he needs to shut up and listen to what Luc has to say - Sorry Daemon.

----------------
"If Daedalus has your girl, you can kiss her good-bye," Hunter said from across the room. "They are some fuc- "
Yes, They are Hunter. They are some fuc-. Hahaha. No. Sorry. Bad joke. But yea.

Page 117
Kat kept her eyes closed. "I miss my mom," she whispered, and my heart cracked."I really miss her."
Aww,Shoot...My heart cracked too - just reading that sentence...

Page 199
"Y-yes, but this goes asainst protocol," Mr.Talkative stuttered. "We can't - "
"You know what?" Daemon took a step forward, glancing up. I didn't see any cameras, but that didn't mean they weren't there. "Protocol this."
Lololol. This time I have to say "Lol." Best scene yet!

Page 228
This was it.
My first reaction to headlights would be to grab a gun, to get ready to shoot - to shoot to kill if necessary.
Holy ffffudgess.. That is just sad...

Page 257
"Your lovely sister and brother showed up at my club and threatened to burn it down if I didn't tell them where you were," Luc said, glancing up from his phone. "True Story."
Ahahaha, Nice story Luc. That totally made me laugh <3

(No Spoiler)What I think about the Chars :

  • Archer : Awesomeness. Just some hot guy who hangs around in the book. Love him. Although he is quite mysterious when we first meet him...
  • Daemon : In this book, Awesome - Sad though. He keeps _____   _______ for what he didn't do.
  • Katy : She's a strong girl in this book. Awesome that I can still read from her point of view and Daemon's at the same time.
  • Mathew : What the what?!
  • Luc : He helped....alot.

Quotes :

"You always have a choice. It's the one thing that no one can strip from us."
"But people do sucky things then they're desperate."

Teasers :

"I'll burn the world to save her."

He didn't blink. "You don't have a choice."

Non-spoiler Book Review :

4/5 music notes. Fantastic book! Slow start, well, almost every book has a slow start(Hahaha). My thoughts on this book will be on goodreads. Most of what I wanted to say is on goodreads, go check it out. This book is a fabulous read with alot of funny/sarcastic parts!

JUMP TO WHAT I THINK ABOUT THE CHARACTERS/TEASERS IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE SPOILED.THE SPOILER REVIEW IS AFTER THIS.

Warning - Spoiler!

Reading Process - I had marked a decent amount of page numbers.

Page 68 :  "I won't go. Scientists have done enough for me already!" Aww, I'm sorry Cinder. You have to go...You'll be forced to with force...
Page 79 : "Don't fret, Miss Linh. You are doing your fellow citizens a great service by being here."
She glared at the mirror, hoping she was glaring at the jerk on the other side, "Yeah? And what'd they ever do for me?" Omg,Go Cinder. What DID they ever do for you?Omg. So unfair.Haha.Well,life is unfair anyway..So you have to suck it up even though it's not fair.
Page 165 : " I - I'm sorry," she stammered. "Thank you - I . . . Thank you, Your highness. But I must respectfully decline." Wait,Whatttt?! I mean, I understand you escaping and all that, but did you just reject the highness's request to go to the ball with him?WHAT?!
Page 168 : "That was something of a risk. You do understand that people aren't supposed to leave once they arrive, don't you?"  Hahaha,Well, she did leave,so keep your mouth shut.
Page 209 : "Right," said Kai," that'll be no problem in a city of two and a half million people. Let me just go dig out my special Lunar detector and I'll get right on that." HAHAHA.Omg, Kai, you are so funny!
Page 246 : "You must promise to not come near this palace again so long as Queen Levana is here." Ahaha. Dr.Erland, do you expect her to obey that?I totally doubt that.
Page 301 : But if there was one thing she knew from years as a mechanic, it was that some stains never came out. Awww, That is just sad. Your beautiful ruined gloves ruined by your dang stepsister.Get revenge.
Page 368 : "She will be taken into custody," he said, with little strength behind his words. "She will be imprisoned until we can decide what to do with her. But if you kill her tonight, I swear I will never agree to any alliance with Luna." ...Repeat that Prince Kai? You're allowing her to go into custody? i don't understand the "he's buying cinder time" part...
Page 377 : Cinder Scoweled. "Gee, thanks, Doc. I'll check my calendar to see what I'll be available again." HAHAHA.Do check you calendar Cinder. Especially when you're being taken into custody.

Review :

Ok...fantasitcal book. I would like to say the ending is a bit of a cliffhanger. So,let's start at the beginning, shall we?We first find out that Peony has the plague and then dies..later on.Cinder is unable to save her,but is able to save Chang Sacha - a baker who has been infected and who caused Peony's infection.Well, actually it was Cinder, I'll just say it was him though. Then, she finds out she's lunar. WOAH.She's lunar?Right. That was my reaction. Then, we find out that she's immune to the plague, actually this was discovered at the beginning of the research, but whatever. Then, we find out she's Princess Selene. The princess everyone has been looking for. And that's when my reaction hits : BAM.WHAT THE HECK?! Very sarcastic and funny book. Fabulous read!

(No Spoiler)What I think about the characters :

  • Cinder : The main character in this story. She's a funny girl with a good sense of humor. It was enjoyable to be looking at things from her point of view.
  • Prince Kai : Adorable little boy. Actually, he's not little, but yea. It was also, very awesome to see the story from his POV too.
  • Adri : Nope, not even worth mentioning. Totally more worse than Cinderella's Stepmother.
  • Pearl : You know, she's just the stuck up stepsister for Cinder.
  • Dr.Erland : Well,Nice doctor, it was annoying to read that Cinder was his new "guinea pig".
  • Queen Levana : Hahaha. That's funny. She's even more worse than Adri...

Teasers :

Cinder pressed her lips. Numbered white doors slid past them. "What's in lab room 4D?"
"His Imperial Highness has requested a word with you."

Review ~ Hex Hall(Hex Hall #1)by Rachel Hawkins

Book review - Hex Hall by Rachel Hawkins

Start Read : September 30,2013 - Finished Read : October 10,2013

Compendious From Goodreads :
Three years ago, Sophie Mercer discovered that she was a witch. It's gotten her into a few scrapes. Her non-gifted mother has been as supportive as possible, consulting Sophie's estranged father--an elusive European warlock--only when necessary. But when Sophie attracts too much human attention for a prom-night spell gone horribly wrong, it's her dad who decides her punishment: exile to Hex Hall, an isolated reform school for wayward Prodigium, a.k.a. witches, faeries, and shapeshifters.
By the end of her first day among fellow freak-teens, Sophie has quite a scorecard: three powerful enemies who look like supermodels, a futile crush on a gorgeous warlock, a creepy tagalong ghost, and a new roommate who happens to be the most hated person and only vampire student on campus. Worse, Sophie soon learns that a mysterious predator has been attacking students, and her only friend is the number-one suspect.
As a series of blood-curdling mysteries starts to converge, Sophie prepares for the biggest threat of all: an ancient secret society determined to destroy all Prodigium, especially her.

To  be honest,I don't really remember how I got recommended to this book....Hahaha.

Non-spoiler Book Review :
4/5 Music Notes...Which is : Awesome.I really liked this book.My thoughts on this book is on goodreads. The main protagonist is a girl named Sophie, who creates a spell on a prom-night for her friend. Then, that spell goes horribly wrong and she gets sent to a boarding school called Hecate - A.K.A Hex Hall.Once they're sentenced to Hecate, they're not allowed to leave until they're 18.And yes,the summary is right : By the end of her first day among fellow freak-teens, Sophie has quite a scorecard: three powerful enemies who look like supermodels, a futile crush on a gorgeous warlock, a creepy tagalong ghost, and a new roommate who happens to be the most hated person and only vampire student on campus. Worse, Sophie soon learns that a mysterious predator has been attacking students, and her only friend is the number-one suspect.(Not victim,I kind of read that wrong so I got confused.Haha.)Soo,yea.That's all you need to know about the book - So go on!Go on what?Go check it out!

Warning - Spoiler!

Reading Process - I had marked alot of pages,so,yea.Enjoy! :

Page 27 - Never had encouragement sounded so much like a threat. Hahaha.I don't even think that's counted as a threat.Lol.
Page 46 - Then he turned, saw me, and, I boy you not, snarled. Okay.Wait.I never heard the term "I boy you not"....well,actually,maybe I have, but yea,um..I need to start using that more.Haha.
Page 73 - "This is Jessica Prentiss," Mrs.Casnoff continued, her voice filling the huge room. Woaaaah,My name!Haha.
Page 104 - "Probably because you're not an evil bimbo." Bimbo?Lol.EVIL bimbo? That's funny.
Page 113 - Oh right. Red hair. Beth the werewolf. Now that sounds rude.Haha."Beth the werewolf"
Page 118 - On the upside,my crush on Archer was totally gone. Over. Once a boy has slammed his kneecap into your ribcage,I think any romantic feelings naturally go the way of the ghost. Naw,Don't lie to yourself Sophie.
Page 120 - "I . . . I like your tattoos. Your ink. Your, um, tats. They're really cool." What the fudging heck?(excuse the language),but seriously?!You would actually listen to them? What in the world?!
Page 123 - "Your dad is the head of the Council. As in, the guy who sent us all here."  WAIT,HOLD ON A SEC.WHAT?!!
Page 134 - The chair on the other side of the desk was lower by a good five inches, and as I sat in it, I immediately felt about six years old.Which, I guessed, was the point. Hahaha,That's funny to think off.
Page 154 - "Archer isn't hot anymore," I'd fired back. "He tried to kill me, and his girlfriend is Satan." Seriously Sophie?Sometimes you piss the heck out of me.GET IN IN YOUR MIND.If it was Vandy, you'd be dead.My lord. And seriously....Don't lie to yourself and say Archer isn't hot,Because you KNOW he's hot.Haha.
Page 228 - "Be careful. The Eye sees you, even here." Well, wow. That's creepy.
Page 287 - That's when I knew that what I was seeing through my fingers was real : it was the mark of L'Occhio di Dio. Archer was an Eye. NOO,NOOO.NO WAY.AND THEN HE JUMPS OUT THE WINDOW AND SAYS GOODBYE?ACTUALLY,HE DOESN'T,BUT NOOO WAY.
Page 300 - "Miss me?" Jenna asked with a grin. Omg,Heck yea I did.HI JENNA!
Page 316 - "You people are more prepared than the Girl Scouts," LOL.That's just too funny.
Page 323 - "I'm not going home. I'm going to London, and I'm going through the Removal." Pardon me?I didn't clearly understand that? What? You're going to go through the removal?Whattt?

Review :

Ok,Wow.That ending...I wouldn't say it was a cliffhanger, but I also wouldn't say it's not a cliffhanger. The ending is somewhere in between that. Also,Elodie dies.Okay, you know what?Let me try to start from the beginning. So,Sophie gets transferred into Hecate/Hex Hall and can't leave until she's 18.So,she gets in a fight with a werewolf-I believe and Archer saves her(I think) and teases her.And then, she refuses the request to join the dark witches' coven and then they're now her enemy. The funny thing is that they joined her into the coven without her knowing.Anyways, she also shares a room with the most hated Vampire/person on the boarding school. And that's about it.Sometimes, though,Sophie is just SOOO ILOGICAL.like, chill out girl and think it through. That's also part of the reason why this book lost a star.I mean,I don't expect her to be perfect, but I swear to god,if I was the main character,I would think to at least think it through.Like, seriously?!

(No Spoiler)What I think about the characters :

  • Sophie : I liked her as the main character.I mean she is stupid at times, well, most of the time but it was fun reading through her perspective.
  • Archer : Cool,guy.I liked him.Funny.Smarter than Sophie,at least.Haha.
  • Jenna : Aww,it sucks that, that's Sophie's roomate and the most hated person on campus.Hahaha.
  • 'The Powerful Enemies' : Um,,Stupid like Sophie? But that's the thing. They the whole book funny.

Teasers :

"That's right! She's the one who nearly killed me last night by putting a charmed bone in my dress!"

Book Review ~ Along For The Ride By Sarah Dessen

Book review - Along for the Ride by Sarah Dessen

Start Read : September 28,2013 - Finished Read : October 7,2013

Compendious From Goodreads :
It’s been so long since Auden slept at night. Ever since her parents’ divorce—or since the fighting started. Now she has the chance to spend a carefree summer with her dad and his new family in the charming beach town where they live.

A job in a clothes boutique introduces Auden to the world of girls: their talk, their friendship, their crushes. She missed out on all that, too busy being the perfect daughter to her demanding mother. Then she meets Eli, an intriguing loner and a fellow insomniac who becomes her guide to the nocturnal world of the town. Together they embark on parallel quests: for Auden, to experience the carefree teenage life she’s been denied; for Eli, to come to terms with the guilt he feels for the death of a friend.

Since everyone has read Sarah Dessen's books.I felt left out?Because I haven't read a single one of her books,so I went to my local library and checked out this book : Along For The Ride. (Always the library,if you haven't noticed,I don't buy books.Hahahaha.)Very interesting book,so much that I disliked to leave this well-built world.

Non-spoiler Book Review :

Very interesting and awesome Book.Love Sarah Dessen! The way she portrays the main character on how she doesn't have a social life and her world building in this book was very imaginable. This is absolutely, one world I hate to leave! It is really hard to tell people about this book without spoilers, but this book is about this one girl, named Auden who never had a social life. She doesn't sleep at night, but she sleeps in the morning, kind of like a vampire. But oh,don't worry. This isn't a supernatural book.Over the summer,She goes over to her father's house, where his house is located in a beach town. There, she gets a job at Clementine's store and from there on,she gets greeted into this unfamiliar social life. This book teaches alot of lesson!Sorry, wanted to mention that.Totally, read this book!

JUMP TO WHAT I THINK ABOUT THE CHARACTERS/TEASERS/QUOTES IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE SPOILED.THE SPOILER REVIEW IS AFTER THIS.

Warning - Spoiler!

Reading Process - I had marked very little pages :

Page 176 - "Maybe it's a guy thing," he said. "Fine, don't call it a quest. Call it chicken salad,I don't care.My point is,I'm in but within reason. That's all I'm saying." Chicken Salad?Seriously?Hahaha!Very funny and sarcastic!
Page 208 - "Who says you have to be either smart or pretty,or into girly stuff or sports?Life shouldn't be about the either/or.We're capable of more than that, you know?" Woah,Sooo true. That just taught me a lesson.
Page 243 - "You're always a kind around your parents," he replied. "Unless they're acting like children. Then you don't get the chance. You know what I'm saying?" Yea,I know what you're saying even though I don't remember a time where my parents acted like children.Haha.
Page 260 - "Then you didn't fail. You just opted out. There's a difference." Life Lesson right there! There's a difference between opting out and failing!
Page 323 - So I just decided to relax into it, bumpy and crazy as it might be, and try for once to just go along for the ride. Oooh,So that's where the title came from.Creative <3
Page 336 - "I had my whole life mapped out."
"So what happened?"
"I guess that map didn't turn out to be mine after all." That's sad,but there's always a new future ahead of you that's different from what you mapped out!

Review :

Ummm,Seriously.Sorry.Haha.No spoiler review.I guess that..um...nothing out of the ordinary that I really want to rant about....

(No Spoiler)What I think about the characters :

  • Eli : Very funny boy.Favorite guy character out of this stand alone book.I loved how he's on this "Quest" for a social life for Auden.
  • Auden : Umm..I liked her as the main character,after all, We're in her head.She doesn't have a social life.So it's understandable that she doesn't know what to do.Towards the end though,She totally changed.Maybe I mean that as a bad thing,maybe I mean that as a good thing.(No spoilers!)
  • Jake : He's funny.Hahahaha.
  • Maggie : She's like the smart little girl.Lol.She's also going to Defriese(If that's the correct way to spell it).Woah.Surprising!

Teasers :

"She's a new mom," Mrs.Stock said, still looking down at Isby. "She's exhausted."

Quotes :

"Then you didn't fail. You just opted out. There's a difference."
"Who says you have to be either smart or pretty,or into girly stuff or sports?Life shouldn't be about the either/or.We're capable of more than that, you know?"

City of Hevaenly Fire - Cassie tells fans what to expect!

Extra First Editions of 'City of Heavenly Fire' (CoFH)

"The last installment of The Mortal Instruments – City of Heavenly Fire – doesn’t hit the shelves until next May, but we do already know that the first editions will have a little extra inside. Today Cassandra Clare took to her tumblr to ‘reveal’ what fans can expect:

There will be an illustration printed on the inside cover of the North American first editions of City of Heavenly Fire. There are of course two figures on the proper cover of the book, but other characters, some who we’ve never seen on covers before, will be on the inside of the first edition’s jacket.

And that’s all I can say right now …

Cassandra later wrote a post about the extra content in copies from the English publisher Walker Books and also revealed who would design the illustration:
I’m sure Walker UK will want to do something special for CoHF but right now I don’t know what. I have information only about the North American hardback first edition. I don’t have info about anything that might be available in any other language or version or country right now.
[...]
What the CoHF special first edition cover offers is basically a chance to see Cliff (the cover artist who has done all my covers) do his take on characters that would otherwise not make it onto covers, especially since this is the last book about them."

Cassie Clare - Tour Dates

The Fault in our Stars Release Date is now set!

The much-anticipated The Fault in Our Starsstarring Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort—has gotten a release date of June 6, 2014,  the same weekend as Tom Cruise’s sci-fi thriller, Edge of Tomorrow.

The movie, based upon John Green’s bestselling novel (and an EW Best Fiction of 2012 pick),  tells the story of Gus and Hazel, two teenagers who meet in a cancer support group and fall in love.  Laura Dern, Willem DaFoe and Nat Wolff co-star and Josh Boone (Stuck in Love) directs. The film is currently still shooting on location in Pittsburgh and Amsterdam.

Both Woodley and Elgort will first be seen in another buzzy release —the dystopian Divergent is slated for March 21 (they play brother and sister in that one) and Elgort will be seen in this month’s Carrie.

Pulseit & Veronica Roth talks about _____?!

Veronica Roth - Author of the Divergent Trilogy - talks about whether or not Tris and Four will have sex & writing her Dystopian World.

"She is certainly used to obsessive questions about the third book in the Divergent series, and she deflects most of mine with ease. The closest I come to a spoiler is on the topic of sex, which Tris and Four haven’t had, because Tris is deeply afraid of intimacy. The barrage starts again: Are YA characters allowed to have sex? (Yes.) Have Tris and Four had sex off the page? (No.) Is this an abstinence series? (No. Roth’s Christianity has nothing to do with it; the characters just aren’t ready.) So there’s a chance they could have sex sometime soon? It’s not out of the question? Roth breaks into a grin. This is the only time she’ll yell at me, but it’s loud, and she’s clearly not nervous anymore. “Maybe you have to wait!”"

Chasing Katniss: Divergent Author Veronica Roth Builds Her Dystopian Empire :

On March 31, 2010, 21-year-old Veronica Roth wrote a blog post titled “You + $$$ = ?” Roth was a creative-writing major at Northwestern who planned to support herself as a proofreader after graduation. The exercise on her frequently updated blog was about imagining success: What would she do if she suddenly had the resources of Stephenie Meyer or J. K. Rowling? Roth’s answers were unapologetically practical—buy a house in Wisconsin, invest, donate to charity—and her wildest dream involved jumping into a pool of mini-marshmallows. Mostly, the aspiring young-adult author just wanted to work. “Day jobs? Pshh. Who needs them? If I could set up a nice little room in which I could write all day and supply myself with infinite tea, I’d be pretty much good.”
Two weeks later, Roth sold her first book, a dystopian YA novel about a society segregated by moral virtues and a girl who doesn’t fit in. Divergent was published in May 2011 and spent eleven consecutive weeks on the New YorkTimes’ children’s best-seller list; the sequel, Insurgent, debuted at No. 1 a year later. The series has remained there ever since, thanks to a wildly enthusiastic, bordering on maniacal, audience that includes not just teenage girls but their brothers, their mothers, and a growing number of childless adults (Divergentcoincided with the rise of The Hunger Games, the industry-wide scramble to succeed Twilight, and the resultant YA dominance in the pop-cultural landscape). Since no popular YA series is without a movie franchise, Summit Entertainment—the studio behind Twilight—will release Divergent early next year, and its cast (Kate Winslet, Next Big Thing Shailene Woodley) suggests similar expectations for the film version. Meanwhile, the contents of the trilogy’s upcoming final book, Allegiant (coming out October 22), are being guarded like Katniss Everdeen in the first half of Mockingjay. So if Roth isn’t quite at Twilight or Hunger Games levels, then she would seem to be on her way—or far enough along, at least, to tackle a few things on the list she wrote three years ago. Find a house, maybe. Figure out what else grown-ups do with large sums of money.

About the Author :
Veronica Roth is from a Chicago suburb. She studied creative writing at Northwestern University, and wrote DIVERGENT (Katherine Tegen Books, May 2011) and INSURGENT (May 2012). The third and final book in The Divergent Trilogy, ALLEGIANT, will come out on October 22, 2013. In the meantime she will spend endless hours browsing Wikipedia in her pajamas as she eats corn flakes. (Or some other kind of bland breakfast cereal.)

Extra Note : Allegiant comes out in 14 days?!For those who don't know,it's two weeks.Omg,though.I can't wait!
